چکیده
Abstract Recurrence quantification analysis (RQA) is a well established method of nonlinear data analysis. In this work, we present new strategy for an almost parameter-free RQA. The approach finally omits the choice threshold parameter by calculating RQA measures range thresholds (in fact recurrence rates). Specifically, test ability measure determinism, to sort with respect their signal noise ratios. We consider periodic signal, simple chaotic logistic equation, and Lorenz system in tested set different even very small signal-to-noise ratios lengths $$10^2, 10^3, 10^4,$$ 10 2 , 3 4 $$10^5$$ 5 . To make calculations possible, effective algorithm was developed streamlining numerical operations on graphics processing unit (GPU).

Recurrence Quantification Analysis of Financial Markets
Recurrence quantification analysis is a nonlinear time series analysis technique that detects deterministic dependencies in time series. This technique is particularly appropriate for modeling financial time series since it requires no assumptions on stationarity, statistical distribution, and minimum number of observations. This chapter illustrates two applications of recurrence quantification...
متن کاملRecurrence Quantification Analysis of Surface Electromyograms
In this paper we describe one of the possible application of recurrence plot strategy to the analysis of surface elctromyograms (sEMG). Recurrence quantification analysis (RQA) is an efficient time-series analysis tool pertaining to the class of non-linear dynamics time-domain processing. We analysed sEMG recorded during isometric contractions at constant and linearly varying force. In order to...

A technique (recurrence quantification analysis; RQA) for analyzing center of pressure (COP) signals is presented and applied to data obtained by having participants stand with the head forward or sideways and with eyes open or closed. RQA is suitable for short, nonstationary signals and quantifies dynamical (deterministic) structure and nonstationarity. Results indicated that vision affects th...
متن کاملRecurrence quantification analysis of global stock markets
This study investigates the presence of deterministic dependencies in international stock markets using recurrence plots and recurrence quantification analysis (RQA). The results are based on a large set of free float-adjustedmarket capitalization stock indices, covering a period of 15 years. The statistical tests suggest that the dynamics of stock prices in emerging markets is characterized by...
